Team England name 3×3 basketball squads for Glasgow 2026

Team England have confirmed their men’s and women’s 3×3 basketball squads for Glasgow 2026, with Commonwealth medallists, GB internationals and leading domestic names included for this month’s Games.
The 3×3 competition will be staged at the Scottish Event Campus from 24-29 July, as England look to build on a successful Birmingham 2022 debut for the discipline.
Jamell Anderson, who helped England win men’s 3×3 gold four years ago, headlines the men’s squad. He is joined by Ashley Hamilton, Dwayne Lautier-Ogunleye and Evan Walshe, with Veron Eze and Toto Fagbenle named as reserves.
Hamilton is set for his Team England debut after becoming a major figure in the British 3×3 scene, while Lautier-Ogunleye and Walshe were part of a strong period for Great Britain’s 3×3 programme, including qualification for a first FIBA 3×3 World Cup in 2025.
On the women’s side, Birmingham 2022 silver medallists Shanice Beckford-Norton and Cheridene Green return for another Commonwealth Games campaign. Georgia Gayle and Katie Januszewska complete the squad, with Marlee Ball and Nina Rickards listed as reserves.
Gayle’s selection follows a standout domestic season with Sheffield Hatters, while Januszewska brings recent Great Britain U23 3×3 experience from the FIBA Nations League pathway.
Team England men’s head coach Julius Joseph MBE said the squad had “a mix of experience and youth”, while women’s head coach Sarah Hopkins-Chery said her group had become “a tight unit” during preparation.
The announcement gives English basketball another major summer moment, with the men defending Commonwealth gold and the women aiming to go one step further after silver in Birmingham.
