Bristol Flyers Add Australian Guard Zac Triplett for 2026/27 Season

Bristol Flyers have signed 6ft5in shooting guard Zac Triplett on a one-year deal ahead of the 2026/27 Super League Basketball season.

The Australian guard, who has UK ancestry, joins from NBL1 North side Logan Thunder and will link up with Bristol after the conclusion of the Australian summer campaign.

Triplett arrives with experience in Australia’s top basketball pathway, having been a Development Player with Melbourne United and Illawarra Hawks. During his time with Illawarra, he was part of the Hawks squad that won the 2025 NBL Championship.

Bristol say the 24-year-old has continued his strong form with Logan Thunder this season, averaging 20.7 points, 7.1 rebounds and 3.9 assists per game at the time of the club’s announcement.

Perimeter scoring boost for Flyers

Triplett gives head coach Andreas Kapoulas another wing option as Bristol shape their 2026/27 roster. The Flyers announcement described him as one of the most exciting perimeter threats in the NBL1 competition.

In his first comments as a Flyer, Triplett said he was excited to play overseas and pointed to Bristol’s close-knit group and supporter atmosphere as key parts of the move.

He is expected to play on the wing while also helping as a secondary ball-handler, adding shooting, pace and rebounding to a Flyers side preparing for another SLB campaign.

The signing follows a busy roster period for Bristol, who have also confirmed returning pieces including Miloš Dugalić and Zach Anderson this month.
