Great Britain U18 Women Begin EuroBasket Division B Campaign in Romania

Great Britain U18 Women have named their 12-player squad for the FIBA U18 Women’s EuroBasket 2026 Division B Championships in Tulcea, Romania.

Head coach Kenrick Liburd’s side are in Group D with Slovakia, Greece, North Macedonia and Denmark, with the tournament running from 31 July to 9 August and promotion to Division A on the line.

Basketball England said GB will open against Slovakia before facing Greece, North Macedonia and Denmark in the remaining group-stage fixtures. Games are available to watch live through the FIBA YouTube channel.

Liburd said the group had worked hard through the preparation period and that the squad’s focus had shifted towards competing at the championships. He said the aim was to play a style of basketball the group could be proud of and to give themselves every opportunity to win.

The squad is part of a busy GB junior international summer, with the U18 Men already in action in Croatia and the U16 Men and U16 Women also scheduled for European competition in August.
