Zach Anderson Re-Signs With Bristol Flyers After Strong Rookie Season

Zach Anderson of Bristol Flyers in Super League Basketball action

Zach Anderson will return to Bristol Flyers for the 2026/27 Super League Basketball season after signing a new contract with the club.

The 6ft 7in forward made a strong first impression in British basketball last season, averaging 11.7 points and 5.1 rebounds across 32 SLB league appearances. He also shot 35% from three-point range, giving Bristol another proven perimeter option in the frontcourt.

Anderson becomes the third confirmed player in head coach Andreas Kapoulas’ squad for the new campaign, joining fellow returnees Marcus Delpeche and Cam Holden.

Bristol’s announcement keeps continuity in place around a player who arrived as a rookie professional and quickly became a regular contributor. Anderson said returning “felt like the right choice” and added that he wants to become a more consistent player in his second year with the Flyers.

Before moving into the professional game, Anderson spent four seasons at Florida Gulf Coast University and later used his final year of NCAA eligibility at George Mason University. At FGCU, he earned All-ASUN Third Team honours after a 2023/24 season in which he averaged 12.8 points, 5.1 rebounds and shot 45.9% from beyond the arc.

For Bristol, the move gives Kapoulas another settled piece as the Flyers continue shaping their 2026/27 roster ahead of the new SLB season.
