Super League Basketball has confirmed that its Cup Finals will return to Manchester’s AO Arena in 2027, keeping one of British basketball’s biggest showpiece events in the city for a second consecutive season.

The league announced that the men’s and women’s SLB Cup Finals will be staged as a double-header on Sunday 21 March 2027, with both competitions deciding silverware on the same day at one of the UK’s major indoor venues.

Doors are scheduled to open at 12:30, before the Women’s Final tips off at 13:30. The Men’s Final is set for 16:00, giving supporters a full afternoon of domestic basketball in Manchester.

The decision follows last season’s Cup Finals at the AO Arena, where Manchester Basketball reached both the men’s and women’s finals and helped create a strong home-city storyline for the event.

SLB says tickets will be released in two sales windows. An exclusive pre-sale for SLB fans is planned for Monday 10 August, with general sale beginning on Monday 17 August.

SLB Head of Events Clare Holmes said the league was “thrilled” to bring the finals back to the AO Arena, pointing to the atmosphere and demand generated by supporters from across the country.

For British basketball fans, the return to Manchester gives the 2026-27 Cup competitions a clear destination and another major-arena date on the calendar. It also keeps Manchester at the centre of SLB’s event strategy as the league continues to build bigger occasions around its domestic finals.

The finalists will be decided through the men’s and women’s SLB Cup competitions during the season.
