Tickets for the FIBA Basketball World Cup 2027 will go on sale on Thursday 27 August, as the countdown to the tournament in Doha moves towards the one-year-to-go milestone.
FIBA confirmed that the 2027 World Cup will be staged in one city, across four venues, with 32 national teams competing for the title in Qatar.
To mark the ticket launch, FIBA says a 20% discount on special ticket passes will be available for the first 72 hours. Supporters are being encouraged to register for ticketing updates, including information on categories, travel, hospitality packages and ticket bundles.
The tournament begins on 27 August 2027, with qualification continuing across the world before the final field is set. The event will be the next men’s World Cup after the 2023 edition in Asia and will again bring together national teams from every FIBA region.
For UK basketball followers, the ticket launch is a useful marker in the international calendar. The World Cup qualifying windows will shape the build-up over the next year, while Doha’s single-city format could make the tournament more straightforward for travelling fans to follow once schedules and qualified teams are confirmed.
