Ethan Price signs two-year deal with London Lions

British forward Ethan Price has committed his future to London Lions after re-signing with the club on a two-year deal.

The 6ft 10in forward will remain in the capital until at least the end of the 2027-28 season, giving London another returning piece from their quadruple-winning 2025-26 roster.

Price’s new deal follows a strong rookie professional campaign, with the Bury-born forward helping the Lions sweep the SLB Playoff title, SLB Championship, SLB Cup and SLB Trophy in his first season with the club.

He quickly became one of London’s most efficient frontcourt options, finishing second in the SLB for field-goal percentage at 64.9 per cent. Across 33 league games, Price averaged 6.8 points and 3.4 rebounds, while also featuring in 16 EuroCup games, where he added 5.6 points and 2.9 rebounds per contest.

Price arrived at the Lions last summer after a four-year college career in the United States, spending time with Eastern Washington and Washington State. Before moving into the professional game, he came through the Ipswich basketball programme and has represented Great Britain at senior level, as well as at junior international level.

London Lions general manager Martynas Purlys described the signing as an important statement for the club, highlighting Price’s status as a homegrown player with further room to develop.

Price becomes the latest confirmed returnee for the Lions ahead of the 2026-27 campaign, joining Deane Williams and Joel Scott in committing to the club as London prepare to defend their domestic titles and continue building around European competition.

For British basketball, the deal is another encouraging sign of a leading homegrown player being trusted in a major role at the country’s most high-profile club.
