Basketball Wales 3×3 Summer Tour returns with Swansea, Flint and Cardiff stops

Basketball Wales has confirmed its 3×3 Summer Tour will return in 2026, with events planned in Swansea, Flint and Cardiff this August.

The tour is designed to give players of different ages and abilities a chance to compete in 3×3 basketball, one of the fastest-growing formats in the sport and now an Olympic discipline.

The 2026 schedule opens at Victoria Park in Swansea on Saturday 15 August, with Sunday 16 August listed as the weather contingency date.

The tour then moves to the Jade Jones Pavilion Courts in Flint on Saturday 22 August, with a contingency date of Sunday 23 August.

The final stop is scheduled for Sunday 30 August at the Sport Wales National Centre in Cardiff. Basketball Wales says the Cardiff event will be held indoors, giving the tour a weather-proof finish.

Basketball Wales says the tour will bring together players, clubs, families and basketball supporters from across the country, with competitive games and a community event atmosphere at each stop.

Further details on age categories, competition formats, registration fees and entry deadlines are expected to be released in early July.

For UK basketball fans, the announcement adds another accessible summer event to the calendar and gives Welsh players a clear 3×3 pathway to target before the new indoor season.
