Caledonia Gladiators have signed former Manchester Basketball forward Frannie Hottinger ahead of the 2026/27 season.
The 6’1” forward arrives in East Kilbride with SLB Women experience and a strong college résumé, giving the Gladiators another versatile frontcourt option as they continue building their roster.
Hottinger was named Patriot League Player of the Year at Lehigh in 2022/23 after leading the league in scoring. She then played a graduate season at Marquette, where her rebounding stood out, including a 21-rebound performance that Caledonia said was the best by any Big East player that season.
Since turning professional, Hottinger has played in Germany with Eisvogel USC Freiburg and then moved into British basketball with Manchester Basketball for the 2025/26 campaign.
Her time in Manchester included helping the club reach the Super League Cup Final against Sheffield Hatters at the AO Arena, giving Caledonia a player already familiar with the league and its physical demands.
Gladiators head coach Donnie Macdonald called Hottinger “a proven performer” and said her versatility, competitive character and desire to win matched what the club wanted.
Caledonia also confirmed fans can see Hottinger and the women’s squad in a pre-season friendly on Sunday 20 September at Playsport, East Kilbride.
