Caledonia Gladiators have added guard Tia Freeman to their roster ahead of the 2026/27 season.
Freeman joins the Gladiators after a strong 2025/26 campaign with Anglia Ruskin University in WNBL Division One, where the club says she averaged 18.5 points, 6.3 rebounds, 3.6 assists and 2.4 steals across 19 appearances.
The 5ft 11in guard produced eight 20-point games during the season, including a 32-point performance against Manchester Mystics and a 28-point follow-up in the rematch.
Freeman also brings experience from the British basketball pathway. Before her spell with Anglia Ruskin, she came through Essex Rebels, Nottingham Wildcats and Oaklands Wolves, and represented Great Britain at U16 and U20 level.
More recently, Freeman has played senior 3×3 basketball for Wales and Great Britain, with Caledonia noting that she helped her side to four wins from four at a tournament in Belfast.
Her arrival gives the Gladiators another scoring option and a player with proven production in the British game as the club continues shaping its women’s roster for the new campaign.
Caledonia’s women’s season is scheduled to begin on 4 October, with a pre-season friendly against Newcastle Eagles listed for 20 September.
