Great Britain’s U23 women finished their FIBA 3×3 Nations League campaign on a high by winning the final stop in Bratislava, underlining the progress being made in the national 3×3 pathway.

Basketball England reported that the U23 women reached the final at Stop 5 before going one better at Stop 6, winning all three of their games to claim the title. The result capped a two-week programme in which the squad grew into international 3×3 competition and built momentum across the later stops.

The U23 men also showed encouraging signs during the campaign, reaching the final at Stop 4. Basketball England said both U23 teams used the opening stops in Czechia to gain valuable international experience before moving on to Slovakia, where the performances sharpened.

For the women’s group, the Bratislava win was the standout moment. Head coach Sarah Hopkins-Chery praised the players’ commitment, resilience and quick development, saying the squad had connected quickly and improved every day.

The U21 men and women also gained experience during a three-stop Nations League campaign in Romania. Basketball England said the U21 women recorded their first win at Stop 3, while the U21 men finished their final two stops with 1-1 records.

The Nations League matters beyond the immediate results. GB’s 3×3 programme is aiming to build depth, expose young players to regular international competition and gather ranking points as the country looks towards future major events, including the Olympic pathway.

For UK basketball, the Bratislava victory is a useful marker: the senior 3×3 picture depends on young players getting meaningful minutes against strong European opposition, and GB’s U23 women have ended this campaign with a title-winning step forward.
