NBA Manchester Game Confirmed as Spurs and Pelicans Head to Co-op Live

The NBA is returning to Manchester, with the San Antonio Spurs and New Orleans Pelicans confirmed for a regular-season game at Co-op Live on Sunday 17 January 2027.
The fixture will form part of a two-game European slate between the same teams. The Spurs and Pelicans will first meet at the Accor Arena in Paris on Thursday 14 January before travelling to Manchester three days later.
It will be the first regular-season NBA game ever played in Manchester and the second NBA game in the city overall. According to the NBA announcement reported by Hoopsfix, it will also be the 20th game featuring an NBA team in England since 1993.
The match-up should carry major interest for UK fans. San Antonio’s roster currently features Victor Wembanyama, one of the league’s biggest international stars, alongside players including De’Aaron Fox, Stephon Castle and Dylan Harper.
New Orleans currently features Zion Williamson, Dejounte Murray, Jeremiah Fears and Derik Queen.
NBA Managing Director, Europe and Middle East George Aivazoglou said the games reflect growing basketball momentum across the continent.
“Playing games in Paris and Manchester reflects the strong momentum we’re seeing for basketball and the NBA in France, the UK and across Europe,” he said.
The Spurs will be playing their first game in England, while the Pelicans will be playing their first game in both France and England.
Away from the court, the NBA, Spurs and Pelicans are also expected to run community and development activity around the games. That will include NBA Cares programming, Jr. NBA/Jr. WNBA and Her Time to Play youth clinics, coach and referee development sessions, plus fan activities in Paris and Manchester.
For UK basketball, the announcement is significant beyond the headline fixture. A regular-season NBA game in Manchester gives fans outside London easier access to a major global basketball event and places the North West at the centre of a high-profile week for the sport.
