Surrey 89ers finished the game with their best stretch, winning the fourth quarter 25–18 to secure an 86–73 road victory over Caledonia Gladiators at Playsport.

The contest was competitive early, with Caledonia taking a 23–19 first-quarter lead, but Surrey steadily turned the game through shot quality and ball movement. After edging in front at half-time (41–45), the 89ers put themselves in position with a 20-point third quarter and then delivered the decisive punch late, stretching the margin in the final minutes.

Surrey’s advantage showed in the team totals. They shot 35-of-68 (51%) from the field and 28-of-47 (59%) on twos, generating 19 assists and getting to the line efficiently. Caledonia, by contrast, struggled to convert perimeter looks, hitting 4-of-23 (17%) from three, and finished with just 8 assists—a key indicator of Surrey’s success in limiting rhythm and forcing tougher shots.

Rian Holland carried the scoring load for Caledonia with 32 points in 35 minutes, with Ethan Wright adding 16 points, 6 rebounds and 3 assists. However, Caledonia’s overall efficiency lagged behind Surrey’s, and the home side could not generate enough second-half stops to flip momentum back.

For Surrey, Tyrin Lawrence led the way with 30 points, while Isiah Small added 18. Ronald Polite III posted an all-round line of 16 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists, helping Surrey consistently create advantages and close the game out in the fourth.
